Materials
I used worsted weight yarn:
white
grey
pink
hook size 5 mm

Abbreviations (US)
ch = chain
sl st = slip stitch
sc = single crochet
dc = double crochet
st = stitch
trc = triple crochet
fpdc = front post double crochet
2 dctog = 2 double crochet together

Royal bun beanie crochet pattern

Model 1 unicolor

Brim
Model 2 has an alternative brim. You can find it if you scroll down.

Use white yarn and chain 9.
Round 1
Sc in 2nd st from the hook. Sc in each ch to end of chain (8 sc)
Round 2
Crochet in the back loops only: sc in each st (8) Turn.
Round 3 / 84:
repeat round 2.

Fold the sides together and join them with 8 sc.

Turn the brim around so the seem is on the inside. Don’t cut the yarn, but continue:

Hat
Each round is closed with a slip stitch in the first stitch of that round.
You don’t have to turn your work.

Round 1
Crochet a sc in each stitch of the collar:

Round 2
(dc in next 2 sts –  skip 2 stitches – 5 dc in the next – skip 2 sts) around

Round 3
1 sl st, 3 dc between the 2 dc of the previous round.

(dc between 2nd and 3rd dc of the 5 dc’s previous round – dc between 3rd and 4th dc of the 5 dc’s previous round – 5 dc between 2 dc’s of previous round) around.
Then crochet 2 dc in the same space as the 3 dc on the beginning of the round. Close.

Round 4
Crochet: dc – dc between 3rd and 4th dc previous round.

(5 dc between 2 dc previous round – dc between 2nd and 3rd dc previous round – dc between 3rd and 4th dc previous round) around.

Round 5 – 8
Repeat round 3 and 4 twice.

Round 9
Repeat round 3, but instead of 5 dc in 1 stitch, you crochet 3 dc in 1 stitch.

Round 10
(dc in next 4 sts – 2 dctog) around.

Round 11

(dc in next 3 st- 2 dctog) around.

Round 12

(dc  in next 2 sts – 2 dctog) around.

Fasten off and weave in the ends.

Model 2 multicolor

Brim
Use unicolor yarn.
Ch 84 and close to form a ring.

Round 1
Dc in each chain around (84)

Round 2
(dc – fpdc) around.

Round 3 – 4
Repeat round 2.

Round 5
sc in each st around (84)

Change to multicolor yarn.
Continue with round 3 of the unicolor pattern. Once you reach round 10, you change back to the unicolor yarn.
