I made this cushion and like to share the pattern with you. I used yarn that’s only available in the Netherlands, but it’s similar to Drops Paris cotton. I love this pattern, it’s easy to make and it really looks great!

Materials

5 skeins of cotton
crochet hook size 6 mm
Stuffing ( (cushion)

Abbreviations (U.S.)

ch = chain
sc = single crochet
st = stitch
dc = double crochet
fpdc= front post double crochet

Cushion crochet pattern

Watch this video tutorial and learn more about this stitch.
Crochet a chain, with the same length as your cushion. The number of stitches has to be a multiple of 3.

Row 1	Sc in 2nd loop from the hook and a sc in the other
	loops. Turn.
Row 2	Chain 3 (=dc), skip next st ,
	*skip 2 stitches; dc in next st; ch 1.
	Crochet a fpdc, in the first st you just skipped.
	Repeat from * until the last stitch.
	Dc in last st and turn.

Row 3	Ch 1; * sc in next 2 stitches ; sc in chain space
	between the crossed double crochets
	Repeat from * until the end of the row.
	After the last dc, crochet a sc around the ch 3
	of the previous round.

Round 4	Ch 3 (=dc), *skip next 2 stitches; dc; ch 1;
	fpdc around the dc on the right from the previous round.
	Repeat from * until the end of the row and finish with
	a dc in the last stitch.

Repeat row 3 and 4 until you reach your desired height. Crochet round 3 once more.
One side of your cushion is finished. Make another one in the same way.

Fold the sides together, with the right sides on the outside.

Crochet them together, using single crochets:
Left and right side: 1 sc in each chain space and 1 sc between 2 chain spaces.
Top and bottom: 1 sc in each stitch. Put the cushion in before you close.

Fasten off.
