Welcome at this Dax Dinosaur crochet pattern. My daughter didn’t want a crocheted dino. But she changed her mind when she saw the result! Each night he’s sleeping in her bed and he’s been on many roadtrips. I’d like to share my Dax Dinosaur crochet pattern with you!

Materials
- 100 gram light green acrylic yarn
- 50 gram off white acrylic yarn
- 50 gram dark green acrylic yarn
- leftover brown yarn
- stitch marker
- fibre fill
- crochet hook size 2.5 mm
- sewing needle
Abbreviations U.S.
- mr = magic ring
- ch = chain
- st = stitch
- sc = single crochet
- sl st = slip stitch
- hdc = half double crochet
- dc = double crochet
- trc = triple crochet
- inc = increase (2 stitches in 1 stitch)
- dec = decrease (2 stitches together)

Attention:
This crochet pattern is made in continuous rounds. Don’t close the rounds.

Belly
Each row ends with 2 turning chains. These are not used as a stitch. So the new the row begins with a hdc in the first stitch.

Crochet an edge with single crochets around the spot. Close with a sl st in the first stitch. Leave a sewing tail. Sew on the neck until the tail like shown in the picture.

Eyes

Fasten off. Use light yellow yarn and embroider a little dot like shown in the photo. Make another eye.
Nostrils
Use brown yarn and crochet a mr with 6 sc. Fasten off and leave a sewing tail. Make another nostril.
Sew on the nostrils to the snout like shown in the picture. Embroider a mouth.
Sew on the snout to the head. Sew on the eyes above the snout.
Sew on the legs to the bottom of the body.
Hair cap

Sew on the hair cap to top of the head. Cut strands of yarn that measure about 18 cm. Attach these to the hair cap. You can watch the hair cap tutorial beneath, if you like.Brush the strands, to make them fluffy. Cut them until you have your desired length.

Fold the bottom together and close with 9 sc. Make three more prickles.
Sew on the prickles to the back.
